Interesting!

Unlike any other entry so far! Felt like the Exmortis! The background wails/screams were great!
Though, I honestly didn't get into that "trance" feeling thing you may have been going for. I think your voice was too raspy to bring that upon me.

Rabidssquirrel responds:

Thanks so much! xD Thats sort've the type of feel I was going for!

Imagination is key~! 8D

Though, I know there wouldn't be any trance induced xD; Normal inductions take like, twenty minutes for proper trance. Supposed to be a bit more hellish :) And I really have to watch my Highs when putting it through filters, because they crunch and give it that rasp x-x

Great quality!

You have a really great voice! Your range is pretty good! Music/sfx are good!

RicePirate responds:

Thanks for the kind words! NG is full of amazing music, and the list of SFX sites provided for the contest, really blew me away in terms of variety ... a very key find.

Might be a little better with music!

Great range, lots of voices! The humor is good, too. Good acting! Jesus's voice might be just a little too gruff. The Jeff character might be just a little too calm at some parts. For finding free sound effects on the internet, you did a good job.

Music would make this a lot more enjoyable!

Loy6 responds:

I was wondering about putting music in. I thought that there was already so much background noise (except for the scene at the end, but that was kind of intentional), that music might end up making it all sound like static. I think I made the right call not putting music in, but I can't say for sure. I never tried.

And yeah I agree that Jeff is a little off. What you hear in this scene is the second version of Jeff. Originally he had a completely different voice, but when I listened back to it, it sounded completely off. So I recorded him again, and what you hear are the first takes because I didn't record multiple versions of every line. I wish I had, but the deadline was looming over me and my editing program was being a huge pain. I thought if I gave myself more to sift through I might not make it in.

I'm glad you enjoyed what you did like, though! Thanks for the review!

Giggled when you shot yourself in the foot

As stated below, the range could be better. In your louder lines, the mic peaked, and the acting in the more emotional lines was not great. The whole thing sounded a bit like you were in a box, but that could just be your mic or noise removal, so I won't judge you on that.

mrbipolar responds:

Yes I do tend to overpower my mic. *sigh* as for the box thing... I can't seem to get rid of that sound so I am guessing it is the mic. Thank you for your review I will most definitely take what you said into consideration for future submissions.

Almost didn't finish listening...

Solid Snake, that's what I was thinking. The range is good at some parts and bad at other parts. The music is good, as are some of the sound effects. Some of them are annoying. The acting is okay. The story really did it for me, it is just too immature.

SirKillington responds:

Come on, the Apocalypse can be funny. I'd be laughin.

Couldn't follow the story

I had trouble understanding the beginning because you were not speaking clearly enough. Also, your mic volume is too loud or you are too close, because you peak a lot. Your range is bad, I had a hard time telling the characters apart. The actual acting is okay. The accent got kind of annoying.

Vert responds:

I've had problems with my peak volumes in the past and I thought I'd managed to solve it or at least mitigate the problem somewhat, but I guess that it still needs a bit of work, so thanks for pointing that out. No contest on my range, it really is poor and it's the reason why I can pretty much only do a single voice in anything I do, which unfortunately wasn't a choice in this case, so I went for the next best thing, or so I thought, since you clearly disliked my accents... T_T

As for the initial part, it's deliberately meant to be a little incoherent as it's portraying a person gone mad (a favourite role of mine), so in a sense it worked, just not how I'd hoped. In any case, thanks for the review!

Great range!

The music and sound effects are good, but your story progression is slow. It is a little cliche, but that's how most apocalypse stories are. The voice acting is good, the characters are just a little bit too calm (obviously they are taking a risk by attacking the city, so I think they would be more worried). As stated above, your range is great, I can easily tell the characters apart.
If you do plan on continuing the story, I think your best bet would be to have the good side lose, because if they win, this is going to be too cliche.

SeiyruRenaih responds:

Much appreciated review! I wish I could have come up with a better story, but it's hard to make a good impact story-wise when you're only given a 6 minute max timeframe. If I ever do make the next part, I'll definitely take what you said into consideration. Thanks!

Title may be true!

I got a couple laughs out of this. (Particularly the part where you smacked the zombies) I like that you made most sound effects with your voice. I agree with the other review, you should have stopped after "We are out of poptarts!", everything after that is unnecessary. The quality was good. Some music would have been nice!

TomStheVoice responds:

Gah! I regret putting that unnecessary stuff! Even I noticed that it doesn't really work. I guess for the contest, though, it's too late to change...I'm actually not sure on that. I'll have to ask somebody.

Loved it!

I really like the way you used this song in the flash animation. It's really "fun".
Favorite Part 1:40-end
Least Favorite Part 1:25-1:39

Spillkaidah responds:

yea dude, i was having problems balancing that part out. the undermelody and the arpt melody were getting swallowed up. thanks for the review.

I Really really really...

...like it. I love music that is like this. It's very inspiring.

BrokenDeck responds:

Thanks alot man!
